Hi,
I just finished your book, and I was going to say that I loved it but I don't know that that is the right word ... I suppose, it gave me a lot. I'm an Australian student and I aspire to practice medicine and to travel overseas, in order to help whomever I can. I read your book as part of my efforts to form some understanding of life in Africa. In particular, Sudan, as I have recently begun helping with a local English tutoring program for Sudanese refugees and migrants in my community. Thankyou, for what I have gained from your book, and I hope if you read this you might gain some satisfaction in that you have further strengthened my conviction to try to make a difference where I can.
Thanks

Thanks - I'm going to request our local library get your book. At present I'm listening to a replay of your interview with the ABC (Australia). I have several Sudanese friends & it helps understand their plight a little. Thanks, James for helping these people & for sharing your experiences with the world. As an MSF supporter, it's great to hear a good plug for them!
Take care & God bless. Jenny B

I am buying your book right after I say Thank you. For doing what you are doing and for writing about it. After reading Chapter 1 (above) my heart is in my throat. I can barely think let alone talk aloud. I am feeling. Love for the world oddly enough, along with a new found sense of being IN the world. What that could mean for me. Thank you for this.
